Below lies Bookflight's & related parties terms & conditions. By working with us you choose to adhere to these terms & conditions

1. Introduction

Bookflight and its related parties provide travel booking, tour packages, accommodation, car rentals, cruises, activities, and transfer services (the "Services") as agent on behalf of airlines, hotels, transport providers, and other suppliers (collectively, "Suppliers"). By using our Services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

2. Bookings and Payments

  • All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation by the Supplier.
  • All bookings are non-refundable by default unless explicitly marked as refundable in travel documents. Refundable sectors/activities must be clearly identified in travel documents.
  • Once your payment is confirmed, please notify your Bookflight consultant through any communication method that creates a verifiable record (e.g., email, chat) so we can promptly issue your travel documents.
  • Prices are indicative until paid in full. Final amounts may vary due to currency fluctuations, fees, or taxes.
  • Passenger names on tickets must match passport names exactly. Notify us of any errors immediately.
  • Passports must be valid for at least six months beyond the final travel date, per Supplier requirements.
  • Instant ticketing is recommended; Suppliers reserve the right to cancel unpaid bookings.
  • Special requests (dietary, wheelchair, bassinet, loyalty numbers, baggage) are subject to Supplier approval.
  • Reconfirmation with airlines or Suppliers is mandatory one day before departure:
    • Domestic flights: two hours prior.
    • International flights: three hours prior.
  • Travel insurance is strongly recommended. You must disclose relevant medical conditions and medications to your insurer.

3. Changes and Cancellations

Subject to applicable consumer protection laws, the following administrative fees apply in addition to any Supplier charges:

  • Domestic changes: NZD 50 per passenger per booking.
  • Domestic cancellations: NZD 100 per passenger per booking.
  • International changes: NZD 150 per passenger per booking.
  • International cancellations: NZD 200 per passenger per booking.
  • Pandemic- or outbreak-related cancellations: NZD 200 per passenger.
  • No-show for any booked service (flights, accommodation, activities, transfers, cruises) results in complete fare forfeiture.
  • Refund requests are only accepted for services explicitly documented as refundable in original booking confirmation and travel documents.
  • Supplier cancellation fees (up to 100%) are passed through to you; you agree to indemnify Bookflight for these amounts.
  • Refunds are issued only after Bookflight receives funds from Suppliers. Commissions and service fees are non-refundable.

4. Liability and Disclaimers

  • Bookflight acts solely as agent for Suppliers. We do not operate, control, or supervise Suppliers' services.
  • Our liability is limited to the value of the Services purchased, excluding any commissions or service fees.
  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bookflight and related parties are not liable for loss, damage, delay, injury, or death resulting from Supplier actions, force majeure, or third-party acts.
  • Where legal liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to remedies available under applicable laws, including the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986.

5. Privacy and Personal Information

  • By providing personal information, you consent to Bookflight's collection, use, and disclosure as described in our Privacy Policy.
  • By providing personal information, you consent to receive all marketing communications from Bookflight and our partners via email, SMS, phone, and other channels.
  • Personal data may be shared with:
    • Overseas Suppliers and related entities;
    • Service providers performing administrative or technical functions.
  • Bookflight is not responsible for these recipients' compliance with New Zealand privacy laws.

6. Payments and Fees

  • Accepted payment methods: bank transfer, cash, and credit card (3% surcharge applies).
  • All prices exclude credit card surcharges unless explicitly stated.

7. Governing Law

These Terms and any disputes arising under them are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand. Exclusive jurisdiction and venue lie with the courts of New Zealand.

8. Dispute Resolution Policies

  • Complaints: Initial complaints must be emailed to [email protected]. Bookflight will respond within 90 days of receipt.
  • Refund Disputes: Refund disputes are only accepted for services pre-designated as refundable in travel documents and booking confirmation.
  • Informal Negotiation: Parties must first attempt to resolve disputes in good faith through informal discussions and negotiation.
  • Mediation: If negotiation fails within 30 days, either party may request mediation under the rules of the New Zealand Dispute Resolution Centre.
  • Arbitration: Unresolved disputes after mediation shall be referred to and finally resolved by arbitration in Auckland, New Zealand, under the Arbitration Act 1996. The decision of the arbitrator is final and binding.
  • Costs: Each party bears its own costs of negotiation, mediation, and arbitration unless the arbitrator orders otherwise.
  • Injunctive Relief: Nothing in this policy prevents either party from seeking interim or injunctive relief in court to protect its rights.
